What a busy season it’s been

Silver Chord has had a pretty full season in spring 2025. We owe a great deal of thanks to our two booking coordinators, Sharon and Colette, who contacted a great many places we’ve sung before and got us on their schedules. Since December, we’ve sung:

  • at Seniors’ Village in Maple Ridge
  • with the Preschoolers at the PoCo Community Centre (what a delightful event!)
  • at the Glen Pine Variety Winter Showcase (where we always bring the house down)
  • for a farewell concert for Lil Cumberbirch, the retiring music director at Glen Pine
  • at the Madison Care Centre
  • Willow Manor in Maple Ridge
  • Creekside Day Centre in Maple Ridge (twice!)
  • the George Derby Centre in Burnaby
  • Shaughnessy Care Home (just down the road from where we practise)
  • the Lakeshore Care Centre near Como Lake in Coquitlam
  • Parkwood Manor in Coquitlam

and as of this writing we STILL have four more shows to go in June! Not only that, we’re already making plans for the fall and winter of 2025!

Never let it be said that seniors just sit around all day!
