    Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.
    Learn some music terms.
    Turn your pages early.
    When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.
    Open your mouth to sing!
    Watch your director.
    Smile when you sing!
    Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.
    Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.
    Arrive early to a show.
    Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.
    Count the rests - all of them!
    Keep your music in order.
    Sing with confidence, not just volume.
    Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.
    Stay home when you’re sick.

Self-Isolation

We’re living in strange times. We’re told to self-isolate, stay two metres away from people, wash our hands, practise social distancing and so many other unfamiliar things.

The internet is full of advice, warnings, threats and suggestions. Here’s a selection of tips for us singers to keep in mind.
