- Watch your director.Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!Sing with confidence, not just volume.Stay home when you’re sick.Engage your audience.Open your mouth to sing!Arrive early to a show.Learn some music terms.Count the rests - all of them!Follow your director.Turn your pages early.Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.Learn your range and your change.Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.Keep your music in order.Silence your phone!When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.Smile when you sing!Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.Practise your music - any time, anywhere!
