- Follow your director.Sing with confidence, not just volume.Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.Open your mouth to sing!Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.Practise your music - any time, anywhere!Stay home when you’re sick.Learn your range and your change.Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.Keep your music in order.Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.Smile when you sing!Turn your pages early.Count the rests - all of them!Arrive early to a show.Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!Watch your director.Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.Silence your phone!Learn some music terms.Engage your audience.
