- Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.Learn your range and your change.Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.Turn your pages early.Watch your director.Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.Learn some music terms.Stay home when you’re sick.Open your mouth to sing!Engage your audience.Silence your phone!Follow your director.Keep your music in order.Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.Arrive early to a show.Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.Smile when you sing!Practise your music - any time, anywhere!Sing with confidence, not just volume.Count the rests - all of them!
