- Engage your audience.Silence your phone!Arrive early to a show.Follow your director.Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.Learn your range and your change.Sing with confidence, not just volume.Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.Practise your music - any time, anywhere!Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!Open your mouth to sing!Stay home when you’re sick.Smile when you sing!Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.Keep your music in order.Turn your pages early.Count the rests - all of them!Watch your director.Learn some music terms.When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.
