- Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.Learn some music terms.Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.Open your mouth to sing!Smile when you sing!Learn your range and your change.Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!Practise your music - any time, anywhere!Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.Count the rests - all of them!Follow your director.Silence your phone!Keep your music in order.Arrive early to a show.Watch your director.Turn your pages early.Engage your audience.Stay home when you’re sick.Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.Sing with confidence, not just volume.
