- Keep your music in order.Sing with confidence, not just volume.Open your mouth to sing!Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!Turn your pages early.Engage your audience.Arrive early to a show.Smile when you sing!Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.Learn your range and your change.Practise your music - any time, anywhere!When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.Stay home when you’re sick.Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.Silence your phone!Count the rests - all of them!Watch your director.Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.Learn some music terms.Follow your director.
