• Sing with confidence, not just volume.
    Turn your pages early.
    Learn some music terms.
    Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.
    Keep your music in order.
    Open your mouth to sing!
    Stay home when you’re sick.
    Watch your director.
    Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.
    Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.
    Arrive early to a show.
    Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.
    Learn your range and your change.
    Count the rests - all of them!
    Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!
    When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.
    Silence your phone!
    Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.
    Practise your music - any time, anywhere!
    Engage your audience.
    Follow your director.
    Smile when you sing!
    Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.

Christmas at The Wesbrooke

Ugly Christmas Sweater Social

Thursday 11 December, 2025 @ 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm – Mayfair and Astoria Retirement Homes are sponsoring an Ugly Christmas Sweater social, featuring several of PoCo’s recreational music groups.
