• Watch your director.
    Smile when you sing!
    Arrive early to a show.
    Keep your music in order.
    Turn your pages early.
    Read the Tips for Singers pages - lots of good info there!
    Count the rests - all of them!
    Keep hydrated. Room-temperature water is best.
    Open your mouth to sing!
    Short syllables add punch. Long syllables add smoothness.
    When the song ends, END IT. Watch for the cutoff.
    Not too loud, not too soft! Blend with the choir.
    Silence your phone!
    Listen to your neighbours, not just yourself.
    Stay home when you’re sick.
    Eat healthy. Not too much, not too little.
    Follow your director.
    Engage your audience.
    Check your posture - face forward, not straining up or down.
    Learn your range and your change.
    Learn some music terms.
    Practise your music - any time, anywhere!
    Sing with confidence, not just volume.

Remembrance Day – Performance

Silver Chord sings at the Remembrance Day service at the Port Coquitlam Cenotaph. We arrive at City Hall for 10:15 to sing O Valiant Hearts at 10:55. Stay in place until after 2 minutes of silence.
